Electronic Forms make it fast and easy.
If you don't have MS Word then your only choice is PDF forms. The PDF filled in forms can only be printed; you can't save the data with the form. The one main advantage with PDF is that anyone with the FREE Acrobat Reader can view, fill in and print them.
If you have MS Word then you can save the data with the form if you like. Depending on the design, the data can also be emailed.
To give you an idea of what can be done I have some examples that I have created and used. Some are very simple and some are more involved.
You can download examples for PST Exempt, Fax, Bank Deposit, and Phone Message all contained in a single compressed file. Download Here
PST Exempt
If you are a business that
requires a Sales Tax Exemption to print and mail or fax in you
could use either the PDF
version or WORD
version. Simply fill it in on the screen and then print and
mail or fax it. Speaking of fax, that brings us to the next one. If you
want a simple blank PDF form to print and fill in by hand it is in the download.
Fax
While more and more is done by email everyday, there are still a lot of times when a fax is the better method. The best method for faxing is the modem in your computer if you have one. The nice part about using a modem is that unless you need to keep a printed copy of the fax it uses no paper on your end. I have three versions of the fax form, PDF version, WORD version which prompts you for the some of the information and a WORD version where you fill in each field.
Bank Deposit
The first deposit form that I created was because I was doing the books for a business that would get a large number of cheques each month and since the deposit book was only designed to handle 30 cheques in a single deposit it would require filling out multiple pages. Using a spreadsheet I could list many more cheques and still have an area for listing cash with the deposit. I would simply print off two copies, one for the financial institution and one for the company records which would I got stamped when I made the deposit.
There are a few advantages using this method. You don't have to keep a current or old deposit book around. When you need to make a deposit simply pull up the file and complete it when needed. It's easy to store your copy in the file cabinet and it's easy to search computer files if you need to look up something
With my own business I wanted the same simple method of doing up a bank deposit form since I never liked the book with carbon paper that my bank used. Mind you, some banks or credit unions may not accept your form and insist on you using theirs. If you would like me to create one modeled from your bank deposit book just let me know and it could be made available for others.
Phone Message
This is a real simple to replace the pink "While You Were Out" phone
message pad done in an Excel Spreadsheet. You
to can email the message to the person, save or print just like any
file. Feel free to customize it to suit your needs or If you
would like it customized for your own use just let me know.
Need even more selection?
If the MS Word ones I have designed aren't to your liking and you would like a wider selection for MS Office then you can find them at Microsofts site. You can use them as they are, edit them to suit your needs or if you like one and need to I can make the changes for you.
